Ammonites are regarded as a symbol of good luck and good fortune. They are a symbol of wealth and are believed to attract abundance and prosperity.
Did you know...
The name ammonite comes from the spiral shape of their fossilised shells resembling tightly coiled rams horns. Pliny the Elder called them "Ammonis Cornua" (Horns of Ammon) because the Egyptian god Ammon was typically depicted wearing rams horns.
The ammonite pendant is 3.2 cm (1.3") high
N.B. The ammonite, fossil pendant comes with a choice of two chain lengths. The default setting is the 18” chain, but if you would prefer a longer necklace, please select the 22” chain in the “chain options” box above.
Each ammonite necklace is packaged in a black presentation box and an organza pouch.
All Glover and Smith necklaces are made from solid polished lead free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead in old pewter) and are guaranteed nickel and allergen friendly. We use Sterling silver chain and jump rings for their strength.
Because we use solid metal the surface of your fossil necklace will never flake like a silver plated necklace. To clean just wash with warm soapy water and occasionally use a silver cloth on the silver components.
All Glover and Smith pewter designs are handmade exclusively by us in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
