Our hawthorn leaf is taken from the Holy Hawthorn tree in Glastonbury, Somerset, England.

Hawthorn meaning and Symbolism

The hawthorn is a symbol of protection due to its sharp thorns. It is also seen as a tree that brings good luck and prosperity to the owner.

Each hawthorn leaf is 14 mm (0.6”) wide and have Sterling silver ear loops.

Each pair of hawthorn leaf drop earrings are packaged in a black presentation box and an organza pouch.

English Pewter Leaf Jewellery Handmade in the UK

Glover and Smith hawthorn leaf earrings are handmade from solid, polished lead-free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead in old pewter) and are guaranteed nickel-free and allergen friendly. We use solid Sterling silver ear hooks.

Because we use solid metal the surface of your hawthorn earrings will never flake like a silver plated earrings. To clean just wash with warm soapy water and occasionally use a silver cloth on the silver wires.
