Ammonites are regarded as a symbol of luck and good fortune. Considered as a symbol of wealth they are believed to attract prosperity and abundance.
Did you know...
The name Ammonite comes from the spiral shape of their fossilised shells resembling tightly coiled ram's horns. Pliny the Elder called ammonite fossils “Ammonis Cornua” (Horns of Ammon) because the Egyptian god Ammon (Amun) was typically depicted wearing ram's horns.
In medieval England ammonites were thought to be petrified snakes and were called Snake stones or Serpent stones and were believed to provide protection from snake bites.
The ammonite spoon is 8.6 cm (3.4") long and comes in a presentation gift box.
Each ammonite fossil sugar spoon is hand crafted from polished, solid lead-free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead in old pewter) and completely nickel-free and food safe.
Because our designs are all created in solid metal, the surface of your fossil hunters spoon will never flake like a silver plated spoon. To clean, simply wash with warm soapy water.
All our designs are made exclusively by us in our workshops in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
