Squirrel Pewter Spoon, Modern English Pewter Spoon Gifts
A squirrel clutches a tiny acorn on this dainty little pewter caddy spoon.
The perfect present for the caring, nurturing person who is always on the go!
Squirrel Meaning and Symbolism
The squirrel reminds us to have more fun and take life a little less seriously. However, they also symbolise practicality, activity, resourcefulness and awareness.
Did you know...
It was once said that a squirrel could travel across the entire country through the ancient wild wood without touching the ground once.
Grey squirrels were introduced to England from North America in 1876 and became very popular with the Victorians. Sadly, they drove back our native red squirrels, which now can only be found in protected areas where the forest conditions are ideal such as the Isle of Wight and parts of the north-west of England.
The little silver coloured squirrel spoon is 8.7 cm (3.4”) in length and is packaged in a presentation box.
Handmade English Pewter Gifts
Each squirrel spoon is handmade from polished, solid lead-free English pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead in old pewter) and completely nickel-free and food safe.
Because our designs are all created in solid metal, the surface of your squirrel spoon will never flake like a silver plated spoon. To clean, simply wash with warm soapy water.
All our designs are made exclusively by us in our own workshops in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
