The harp shell is a genus of molluscs belonging to the gastropoda and the whelk family. The species are found around the Indian Ocean, most notably Mauritius. The shells are very attractive and are so called from the form of their ornamental ribs which resemble a harp.

The silver coloured harp shell bowl is ideal for salt, sugar, mustard etc. The accompanying spoon has a sea shell bowl and a small shell finial on an entwined handle.

Each of our food friendly tableware designs are handmade with polished lead free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead). We use solid metal so the surface of your bowl and spoon will never rust or flake. Simply wash with soapy, warm water to clean.
