The acorn is a symbol of strength, potential, fertility and immortality. The ancient Druids believed eating acorns would help them see the future, and the word druid can be translated as “oak knowledge”.

Acorns remind us to discover the seed of something wonderful that is yet to develop. It will take time, persistence and the right nurturing, but something magnificent is waiting inside that precious acorn.

Acorns are also considered to be a lucky symbol, representing prosperity, youthfulness, power and spiritual growth.

The silver coloured walnut handle is 3 cm (1.2”) tall and 2 cm (0.8”) wide. Each has a projection of 2.5 cm (1”). 

Each acorn handle comes with a 4.5 cm (1.8”) long machine screw with a 4 mm (M4) thread. This can then be cut to the required length.

Every Glover and Smith acorn cupboard handle is handmade from polished, solid lead-free English pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead in old pewter) and completely nickel-free.

Because our drawer pulls are all cast and hand finished in solid metal, the surface of your acorn door knobs will never flake like plated, base metal handles. To clean our pewter door handles, simply wipe with warm soapy water.
