Oak tree symbolism

The Oak tree is a symbol of strength, morale, knowledge and resistance. It is often associated with honour, nobility, and wisdom, thanks to its size and longevity. Oaks are known to easily surpass 300 years of age making them a powerful life-affirming symbol; a living legend representing all that is true, wholesome, noble and stable.

The silver coloured twig handle is 12.5 cm (4.9”) long and 9 mm (0.4”) wide. Each has a projection of 3.5 cm (1.4”). 

The distance between the centres is 64 mm (2.5”).

Each oak twig handle comes with 4.5 cm (1.8”) long machine screws with a 4 mm (M4) thread. These can be cut to the required length.

Every Glover and Smith Oak Twig cupboard handle is handmade from polished, solid lead-free English pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead in old pewter) and completely nickel-free.

Because our drawer pulls are all cast and hand finished in solid metal, the surface of your twig door knobs will never flake like plated, base metal handles. To clean our pewter door handles, simply wipe with warm soapy water.
