Did you know?
The first cups specifically made for drinking tea were exported to Europe from China and Japan in the 17th century.
Originally, tea bowls did not have handles until they became fashionable at the turn of the 19th century. The handle on a teacup was actually a German invention by Johann Friedrich Bottger in 1707.
The cup and saucer teaspoon is 12cm (4.7”) long boxed.
Although silver coloured, the cup and saucer teaspoon is handmade from solid polished lead free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead). Because we use solid metal the surface of your spoon will never flake or rust, just wash with warm soapy water to clean.
