Oak tree symbolism
The very essence of England, mighty and strong, enduring and steadfast, the Oak tree symbolises: hospitality, stability, honour, endurance and liberty.
“When the oak is felled the whole forest echoes with its fall, but a hundred acorns are sown in silence by an unnoticed breeze” - Thomas Carlyle
Each oak leaf napkin ring is approx. 4 cm (1.6”) in diameter and the set of eight come packaged in a black presentation gift box.
UK Hand crafted English Pewter Oak Leaves
Glover and Smith oak and acorn napkin rings are hand crafted from polished, solid lead-free English pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead in old pewter) and completely nickel-free.
Because our designs are all created in solid metal, the surface of your oak serviette rings will never flake like silver plated napkin rings. To clean, simply wash with warm soapy water.
All Glover and Smith pewter oak leaf designs are made exclusively by us in our workshops in Salisbury, Wiltshire, UK.
