Wren meaning and symbolism

The wren symbolises wisdom and divinity and because it is such an active little bird, it also represents vibrancy, activity, alertness and efficiency. She has always been considered a most sacred bird. Called: Drui-en or Druid Bird in Irish Gaelic and in Welsh the word Dryw means both druid and wren.

"He who shall hurt the little wren, Shall never be belov'd by men." - William Blake - Auguries of Innocence

The little wren pendant is 18 mm (3/4") wide.

N.B. The wren bird pendant comes with a choice of two chain lengths. The default setting is the 18” chain, but if you would prefer a longer necklace, please select the 22” chain in the “chain options” box above.

Each wren necklace is packaged in a black presentation box and an organza pouch.

UK Hand crafted English Pewter Jewellery

All Glover and Smith Wren necklaces are handmade from solid polished lead-free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead in old pewter) and are guaranteed nickel-free and allergen friendly. We use Sterling silver chain and jump rings for their strength.

Because we use solid metal the surface of your wren bird necklace will never flake like a silver plated necklace. To clean just wash with warm soapy water and occasionally use a silver cloth on the silver components.

All Glover and Smith pewter designs are handmade exclusively by us in Salisbury, Wiltshire UK.
